Next Steps for the Rowlett Texas Tea Party

The July 3rd Rowlett Texas Tea Party was a success in my mind and in the minds of the other organizers. It was blistering hot and we still managed to pull in some 200 supporters who sat and listened, spoke at the open mic and signed petitions.

So, what happens next?

The Rowlett Texas Tea Party is already making plans for our next Tea Party and will have details out about that soon so stay tuned!

For now there are three important things you can do right away! (compliments of my friend Dianne Edmondson)

1) Learn who your elected representatives are and how they voted on those important “big spender” bills;

2) Become informed about our U.S. Constitution and heritage; and

3) Become involved in the political process to ensure that real conservatives are elected to both state and federal offices.

Merely complaining won’t make any difference. Simply coming together with like-minded patriots to protest the past won’t change the future. In other words, HOPING for a CHANGE in the leftward track our nation is upon will do no good whatsoever. Only becoming an informed, active participant in the political process will advance the conservative cause.

One thing you can do right now is contact your representatives and tell them how you feel about the issues and legislation they are voting on.

http://www.congress.org/

Just put in your zip code and it will give you the list. Then just click on their names to get all the info you need.

The key is to contact them anyway you wish and let them know how you feel!

Stay tuned for details soon!
