Finalization.... Finally!

Monday, November 7, at approximately 12:20 PM Judge Garcia said he "approved this petition for adoption" and gaveled the case to a close. Finally, after a little over 6 months, Carlos, Chyanne and Hopey would be legally ours!!! Everyone in the court room was all smiles. Even Carlos, who is typically shy and somewhat reserved was grinning from ear to ear!

The previous 6 months had been unbearably slow but lightning fast all at the same time. There were ups and downs - mostly ups during that 6 months. We grew together as a family and bonded with each other faster than you could imagine.

Now we are a forever family. Unfortunate circumstances brought our kids into the custody of the state but by the grace of God they were sent our way. All I can tell you now is that we love these kids like we love our biological kids!  And they all love each other too!!!
